In the Rearview - ProcureCon Marketing EU 2023

In the blink of an eye, ProcureCon Marketing EU 2023 is in the rearview! It was a pleasure getting together with the best and brightest marketing procurement professionals in beautiful London. If we’ve learned anything from the COVID pandemic, it’s that nothing can truly replace the flow of information, ideas, and laughs at in-person conferences. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the effort and consideration from the entire ProcureCon WBR staff.

 

The atmosphere of ProcureCon Marketing EU was, and always has been, open and collaborative. The marketing procurement function is still relatively young in many organizations, with professionals in these positions ranging from sourcing veterans to first-time procurement professionals; all had a seat at ProcureCon Marketing EU tables and discussions. Regardless of where each of us are at in our marketing procurement journey, many sessions contained actionable insight we can take home to our own organizations. It’s abundantly clear that while ProcureCon provides a venue and date for these conferences, it is the wonderful people who attend that give these events their unmatched value to our industry.

Topics discussed at the conference included a mix of on-going challenges, such as developing further alignment between procurement and marketing to drive business objectives, and newer areas such as AI & procurement, technology management, and our ever-shifting economy. Championed by outstanding sessions hosted by Google, LVMH, & Reckitt (and many, many others), it’s clear that we are better professionals when we come together to tackle the challenges that face our industry as partners.

 

Tying all of these topic areas together, it’s clear many organizations are hungry for deeper and more fruitful data analysis programs. All of us are on our own data analytic journey trying to better understand the impacts of DE&I, drive better relationships with our strategic partners, and where to place our biggest bets of today and tomorrow. And just like that… another ProcureCon Marketing EU is in the rearview – so many more great conferences still on the schedule for 2023. We will see you in at ProcureCon Marketing US 2023 this November.
