P&G launches Green Supplier Scorecard

Triple Pundit, an 'innovative new-media company for the business community that cultivates awareness and understanding of the triple bottom line' reported this week that Procter & Gamble - the global giant with products which reach consumers billions of times a day has depoyed new, green scorecards targeting its suppliers.
They report that "Earlier this month, the company launched a new supplier scorecard and rating system that’s designed to measure and improve the environmental sustainability of its 75,000 suppliers. And, what’s more, P&G took the unusual step of making the scorecard “open code,” so that any interested organization can use it."
"Environmental sustainability is very important to P&G, and for more than ten years now we’ve been reporting on the eco-efficiency of our operations,” said Len Sauers, P&G’s Vice President of Global Sustainability. This new supplier scorecard is a next step in our journey.”
Decideware's Role
We should note (with some pride) that the scorecards were delivered to P&G's suppliers via Decideware technology, as part of our service to the company providing supplier evaluation tools.

Congratulations Decideware on all of your hard work to get the scorecards out. Although I am no longer working directly with you, I'm happy to see how you've been able to help P&G deliver some great capability with our suppliers.
